Their knowledge of reagents makes them useful in both combat (through poisons or bombs) and exploration (creating antidotes or useful tools).
ANARKA
Anarka are those who have dedicated their entire existence to the study of many, if not all religions. Their understanding, faith, and belief of universal religions is completely unmatched. They have a deep understanding of a plethora of religions and can tap into this knowledge when dealing with religious types, sensitive information, and devout peoples.
ASSASSIN
Focused on stealth, precision, and lethal efficiency, the assassin begins with high proficiency in stealth mechanics, silent takedowns, and critical strikes. Assassins also excel in agility and can navigate areas unseen, making them essential for stealth missions.
CAPTAIN
Captains have one of the most demanding roles. They are responsible for the safety of both their crew and their ship. Captains are reliable, strong of mind, very well-educated and knowledgeable, and exercise a high position within any given chain of command. Captains must often make tough decisions that are not always popular with their colleagues.
DIPLOMAT
Diplomats can be very useful in a number of ways, with their main duties including: representation and protection of the interests and crew of the sending party; initiation and facilitation of strategic agreements; promotion of information; trade and commerce; technology; and friendly relations.
DOCTOR
Doctors are able to heal other characters and can interact with medical options. They can also work with different types of serums, cures, and other medicines that can aid themselves and their crewmates. Recipes often need to be found, and then of course the required ingredients, but there is much for the doctor to learn, and only a lack of investment will dampen their abilities.
HACKER
Hackers are able to break into certain systems within the universe of Lunaris. Hackers have a higher chance of success at hacking into computer terminals, supply crates, doorways, chests, and other digitally locked or encrypted items.
HISTORIAN
Historians have an excellent knowledge of the many environments that can be encountered. They understand symbology left behind by the precursors as well the many different languages and primerrah that can be found across the universe. Historians often add unique insight into landscapes, areas, items, flora and fauna, as well as revealing information about the many places that you will encounter on your journey.
MECHANIST
Mechanists are great at working with machines, computers, and other strange artifacts. They love nothing more than to tinker with any and all available scrap items at their disposal. Mechanists can repair, strip, scrap, and utilise Humecha, Gen2, and Gen1 robots and machines.
MERCHANT
Merchants primarily focus their attention on material wealth and manipulating the economy that can potentially influence it. Merchants can use their credits to bribe certain enemies to flee combat. Merchants can be persuaded by their Captain's to negotiate safe passage through certain sectors of space, at a price of course. Merchants gain benefits when trading and selling that no other class does. Merchants can buy on behalf of others, however they will must never do this for free as it is in their nature to gain as much as possible from any and all transactions, even those between crewmates.
SCIENTIST
Scientists are excellent at dealing with data and research information. They are exceptionally reliable when it comes to facts and details pertaining to many previous scientific discoveries and those that are yet unknown. Scientists communicate well with other scientists and can often separate fact from fiction.
SOLDIER
Soldiers are excellent in combat situations and are very determined to succeed. They respect the chain of command and will follow the orders of their captain. Soldiers have great starting combat skills and are good crewmates. Soldiers differ from one another. There are a few additional decisions to take when choosing a soldier.
SPACE TECHNICIAN
Space Technicians are involved in the development of new ship parts, satellites, scanners, and radar systems. These technicians can gain access to exclusive starship blueprints. They are highly knowledgeable in space hardware, shielding, power generation, and starship repairs.
SURVIVALIST
Survivalists are well prepared for emergencies such as natural disasters, alien attacks, starship attacks, and other disasters causing disruption to social order caused by political or economic crises. Survivalists are well equipped in survival items and are always excellent crewmates due to their prepper mindset and the knowledge they have gained in the field of survivalism.
THIEF
Thieves are crafty, sneaky, and good at what they do. Novice thieves often get caught, they make mistakes, leave evidence behind, or have to resort to escape fairly early on from their intended mission. The master thief, which is one that has honed their skills, will benefit from the luxury of lockpicking, moving around in the shadows unseen, pickpocketing without getting caught, and accessing areas that otherwise would have been out-of-bounds. In addition, the better the thief is, the greater the chance that they will avoid tripping alarms, being spotted on security cameras and alerting security bots.
XENOBIOLOGIST
As mankind took to the stars, the study of alien life became extremely important, thus Xenobiology became more and more popular as a career path. Xenobiologists share research and information in a database known as the XenoCodex. The XenoCodex contains all information that has been collated by xenobiologists across the cosmos who have studied the vast number of alien lifeforms that reside among the planets we visit. Many of those inhabitants were intelligent and presented a huge threat to humanity, but that didn’t deter anyone from further exploration.
